The first of the limited edition Patek Philippe Tiffany was sold at an auction for $6.5 million, 120 times more than its retail price of $52,000. Earlier this year, in January 2022, the watch was discontinued by Patek Philippe, which increased its value. Despite the skyrocketed market price increase, its popularity is still incomparable, with many high-profile celebrities having been spotted wearing it since its release. You can also notice how some celebs prefer switching between interchangeable Patek Philippe watch straps like Horus Straps for Patek Philippe 'Tiffany' to fit the timepiece to the outfit flawlessly.

Currently, in August 2023, the timepiece trades for around $3 Million on the grey market.

As mentioned, the first piece of Patek Tiffany was sold at an auction for $6.5 million, and Zach Lu was the first person to receive the hyped watch on the planet. Actually, Zach dropped out when the auction bidding crossed $5 million. Lucky him, six weeks after the auction, the original auction winner was unable to complete the transaction, then he was offered the watch as he was identified as a person having strong buying history of purchasing the watch.

Zach is an avid Californian watch collector who became famous on Instagram among the watch community (CMIIW). The 31-year-old collector has been collecting watches since the age of 15.

Jay-Z was the first celebrity spotted wearing the blue Tiffany Patek. Not only is he known as a successful rapper, but he is also an avid watch collector. Moreover, Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce are Tiffany & Co. brand ambassadors. Since this watch is Tiffany and Co.'s exclusive watch, it was not surprising to see him as the first celebrity with it.

In January 2022, around one month after the release of the Patek Philippe Nautilus Tiffany, the Chairman, and CEO of LVMH Bernard Arnault who is the richest person in the world as of Jan 2023, was seen on Instagram playing chess with his son, the CEO of Tag Heuer Frédéric Arnault. In the picture, we can clearly see a watch with the blue Tiffany on his wrist. 

Now comes a big BUT! On closer inspection, the watch on his wrist is not the 5711 Patek Tiffany; in fact, an even rarer timepiece. It's a unique Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar with the Tiffany dial. Not a surprise, isn't it? 

In my humble opinion, Leonardo DiCaprio doesn't seem to be much of a watch guy. But interestingly, the Titanic actor joined an elite list of Patek Tiffany wearers. He was spotted wearing the watch while watching the Los Angeles Lakers vs Portland Trail Blazers at Crypto.com Arena in February 2022. 

All eyes were on LeBron's James' wrist at the Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles earlier this year. During the event, the four-time NBA's most valuable player was spotted dripping in jewelry, but his fantastic piece was the Patek Philippe Nautilus Tiffany. 

Tiffany Patek on James' wrist is actually to be expected because we might have known that he is also an avid watch collector and his watches are mind-blowing! So it was just a matter of time until he appeared with the watch. 

Another basketball player spotted wearing the 5711 Patek Tiffany is James Harden of Philadelphia. He was spotted wearing the wrist while attending an event held by his close friend, the rapper Lil Baby. 

The passionate Hollywood watch collector Mark Wahlberg was the next celebrity spotted wearing the hyped Patek Philippe Tiffany 5711A. I knew it! My prediction was right that someday, we might see Patek Tiffany on Wahlberg's wrist because he has been collecting insane watches. It was 18 April 2022 when he posted a video on his Instagram talking about something, and we could see the watch on his wrist. I just got the feeling that he, most likely, only wanted to flex his new toy. Getting your hands on this timepiece is not easy, so when you have one on your wrist, you just want to tell the world about it. It makes sense, right?

Thomas Jacob Hilfiger, an American fashion designer and founder of one of the world's most premium luxury lifestyle brands Tommy Hilfiger Corporation, and his wife were seen hanging out together with Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble on 13 June 2022. Interestingly, he and Corey Gamble wore the same clothes and watch, Patek Philippe Tiffany. 

I'm sure that other non-celebrities have already received the watch, but they just haven't posted it on social media for us to find out. So far, Brenton Wickam is the first non-celeb (assuming Zach Lu is a celeb) spotted on social media receiving the Tiffany Nautilus on 17 June 2022.

Isn't it hard to get your hands on this watch? Yes, it surely is. Your next question might be: Then why did he get it? Well, he is probably not as popular as Jay-Z, but he must be super rich and an important person. He is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and CEO of Urban Rock Properties, a real estate investment and development company focusing on value add commercial opportunities in Silicon Valley and beyond. 

Wickam has been a reputable commercial real estate agent for over 25 years. He has successfully bought and sold real estate worth more than $100 million and has developed an extensive network of connections. I assume this was why Patek Philippe and Tiffany offered him the chance.

The recent public figure spotted on social media wearing the Patek Philippe Tiffany is the Prince of Qatar, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. During the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha on 10 July 2022, the watch was seen on his wrist. It is not a surprise that he has this watch. I mean, his watch collection is incredible, so it was just a matter of time to see him wearing the watch.

In my opinion, he is the first Arabian public figure seen with the Patek Tiffany (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Another Arab joining an elite list of the extremely rare and hype Patek Philippe Tiffany wearer is Dr. Hamad Al Naumi who is known as the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Ooredo Group.

Finally, finally, finally! Finally, my question is answered. I was wondering when I would see Ed Sheeran wear this hype watch - Patek Philippe Nautilus Tiffany 5711/1A-018. One year (more or less) since its release in December 2021, we can now see this watch on the singer and also watch collector Ed Sheeran's wrist.

It was during his performance on stage during the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Microsoft Theater on 5 November  2022 in Los Angeles, California. 

Attending the 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, American basketball player Kyle Kuzma was spotted wearing the limited Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-018 made in collaboration with Tiffany and Co.

Brazilian professional footballer Alexandre Pato, who plays as a striker for São Paulo and was previously in a relationship with Silvio Berlusconi’s daughter, was spotted wearing this hype watch at a press conference.

Next wearer of this hype watch is Jean Todt. He is is a French motor racing executive and former rally co-driver. He was previously director of Peugeot Talbot Sport and then Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team principal, before being appointed chief executive officer of Ferrari from 2004 to 2008. From 2009 to 2021 he served as the ninth president of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile.

Crown Prince of Qatar, Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, was spotted wearing his stainless steel Patek Philippe Nautilus with a Tiffany & Co blue dial and a Tiffany & Co stamp.
