I'm sure many people are expecting to see a President with a super expensive watch on his wrist.
The question is, does it always have to be like this? Should a leader of a nation wear a $1 Million watch? Is it a sin for any president to wear a $15,000 watch?

President Joe Biden was seen very often wearing his Rolex Datejust 41mm featuring a blue dial, smooth bezel, and a jubilee bracelet. In this picture, the watch accompanied him during his meeting with private sector CEOs in the White House, Washington D.C. in March 2022. The current market price (July 2022) is ~$13,000.
Biden also owns an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch which costs $6,300. This Moonwatch has a black dial with a sapphire crystal that resists scratches, a small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, and a chronograph hand in the middle. Similar to Prince William's collection, the 46th President of the US also has the first generation of Omega Seamaster 300M. The watch that was seen on Pierce Brosnan's wrist in James Bond's Goldeneye 1995 was made as a replacement for the Seamaster 200M in 1993. Its market price in July 2022 is around $2,800.
Trudeau was spotted wearing the about $9,000 IWC Portuguese Regulateur during his meeting with Latvia's Minister of Defence and Latvia's Prime Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers in Riga, Latvia.
This watch actually tells the time with three separate dials and hands. At 12 o'clock position, there’s a 12hour subdial that just reads the hour; Below this, at 6 o'clock positio,n is a sub dial for the seconds; The greater dial of the watch, which encompasses the other two dials, is marked for minutes.

Another timepiece that has been seen very often on his wrist is the French brand March LA.B AM69 Electric with quartz movement. This watch's retail price is also very affordable, only about $500.
Vladimir Putin, the most powerful man in Russia is an avid watch collector. He owns nice watches in his collection. The first one I want to mention is the F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu. Its case is made of tantalum, rare dark grey metal with blue overtones that is valued for its extremely high resistance to corrosion, and its biocompatibility. This timepiece's market price is around $100,000.
He also owns a vintage Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5039J in 18k yellow gold with a hobnail bezel. The market price is around $38,000.
Another cool watch that was seen on Vladimir Putin's wrist is the rare A. Lange and Söhne 1815 Up/Down ref. 221.025 in platinum. The watch was created to commemorate Ferdinand A. Lange's birth year. It is equipped with the recognizable up/down power reserve indicator, which was first employed in vintage pocket watches and maritime chronometers. The market price is around $25,000.
Zelenskyy, who has served as the sixth and current President of Ukraine since 2019, is one of the most discussed presidents nowadays because of the current situation between his country and Russia.

What would you expect from a Sultan? It is not a surprise to see expensive watches on his wrist. He owns a wide range of luxury watches, from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, etc. In his lavish collection, he owns several Richard Mille watches. One is the Richard Mille 56-01 Tourbillon sapphire made from sapphire crystal and titanium. Interestingly, this model is a limited edition of five timepieces only with a retail price of $2 Million.

This watch is currently trading on the grey market for about $286,000. I mean, when you're staring at a real-life Sultan, you wouldn't expect anything less. Just don't expect to see many mere mortals wearing it!
Mr. Prime Minister seems to love Patek Philippe watches. Here, we can see another Patek Philippe on his wrist. This time, he wears the white gold Patek Philippe 6002 Sky Moon Tourbillon with 12 complications, and hand-engraved with elegant volutes. It features a blue dial with cloisonné and champlevé enamel motifs. The previous version, 5002, was sold for around $1.2 Million, so this model must have a higher price. Some say it could be auctioned for over $3 Mil.!

Another watch seen on the supreme leader Kim Jong Un is the Movado Museum Black PVD. To be honest, at first glance, I thought it was a woman’s watch. In fact, this is one of the American watchmakers Movado’s designs: The Museum. Designed first in 1947, the watch features a chic black dial, gold case, and a single dot at 12 o’clock. Interestingly, I haven’t seen him wearing a watch from a more luxurious brand such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, etc., considering him a most powerful man in the country. Well, I guess the main reason is that the UN banned the export of luxurious brands to North Korea because of its nuclear project. Okay, I should stop here because this is not the place to talk about politics.
During the 2019 G20 Osaka Summit in Japan, Xi Jinping, the President of the People’s Republic of China since 2013, was spotted wearing an Omega Constellation 1995.

The Arabian Royal Family undoubtedly has amazing watches, both common and rare ones. You just wouldn’t expect less from them. Take Qatar as an example. The current ruler, or they call is Emir, is Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He is the fourth son of the former Emir. Since his father abdicated the throne in 2013, he has been the ruler of Qatar.
In this picture, during his meeting with the President of Turkey Erdogan, Sheikh Tamim was seen wearing the discontinued 41mm white gold presidential Rolex Day-Date II with a fluted bezel, a silver dial with eight baguette-cut diamonds and two baguette-cut sapphires at 6 and 9 o’clock.

King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa was spotted wearing the rose gold Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time with a 42mm case and a brown sunburst dial, and completed with a brown leather strap. It features a second-time zone and a local-time date. Its market price in July 2022 is ~$54,000.
Another Patek Philippe watch he owns is the 25 pieces limited edition Patek Philippe World Timer Manama that was made for the 50th anniversary of the brand’s presence in Bahrain. It features a 38.5mm case in 18k rose gold, and a hand-guilloched red centre dial that, of course, matches with the Bahraini flag. The 24h city ring includes Manama as Bahrain’s capital city, replacing the city of Moscow. It retails for $99,000.
Although that amount of money might mean nothing for the king, and I’m totally sure that he could buy watches above $2 Mil, he still chose this watch. I mean, this watch looks simple, classic, yet elegant. He definitely has exquisite taste.

It is available on the grey market (July 2022) for over $250,000.

The last timepiece in his collection I want to mention is the watch from one of the most luxurious brands – Patek Philippe. He was seen wearing the Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A with a black dial on a sporty black tropical strap made of a new composite material ultra-resistant to wear, salt water and UV radiation. Currently, on the grey market, it is trading for ~$80,000.
Mr. Tshisekedi was spotted wearing the stunning yellow gold Rolex Day-Date President with a fluted bezel and ten baguette hour markers on his visit to meet the French President Macron, a champagne dial. The market price is currently around $65,000.
Mr. President was also seen wearing a rose gold Sky-Dweller 326935 in 18ct rose gold with a slate dial and an oyster bracelet. The watch is characterised by its second-time zone display and an off-centre disc on the dial. At a glance, this 24h display clearly distinguishes daytime hours from night-time hours in the other time zone. Its market price in July 2022 is ~$70,000.
Mr. Ondimba seems to be a fan of Rolex Daytona. His Daytona is one of my favourite Daytonas ever! It is the beautiful Rolex Daytona Platinum Ice Blue. In the picture he was seen wearing the watch during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final football match between Egypt and Cameroon in Libreville. The market price in July 2022 is ~$160,000.
President Marquez who has been the President of Colombia since August 2018 was spotted wearing a Rolex Milgauss when visiting the EU Commission headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, in April 2022. This oyster Milgauss features an intense black dial with luminescent hour markers – a green sapphire crystal that produces light reflections while preserving optimal legibility. Its market price in July 2022 is ~$14,000.
The 96 year-young Queen has been collecting luxury watches, from Patek Philippe, and Audemars Piguet to Omega. In the picture, she was seen wearing an extremely rare 20mm yellow gold Patek Philippe Ladies Calatrava with a quartz movement on fascinating beads of rice bracelet. The price is unknown. I’m wondering how much it costs.
The Queen’s other Patek Philippe watch is the super rare and beautiful white gold Patek Philippe 4975/1G encrusted with brilliant-cut diamonds on an elegant pearl bracelet. This model is unquestionably a work of genuine craftsmanship.

Emmanuel Macron in the last photo isn’t wearing a March LA.B AM69 Electric. If you zoom the picture you can clearly see that:
1. The crown is at 3 position and not at 4.
2. Second hand is red.
3. Even the logo on the dial is clearly not the March Lab
