It's that special time of the year again—Oscars night! The 2024 Oscars just wrapped up, and while everyone's buzzing about the movies and stars, we watch enthusiasts have our eyes on something else: the stunning timepieces that graced the wrists of Hollywood's elite.

I can hardly believe how fast time flies; it feels like I was just sharing my insights on the watches at last year's Oscars. Yet here we are again, diving into the glamorous world of horology at the 96th Academy Awards, held at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on March 10, 2024.

This year, the Oscars were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, who's now part of the elite group of entertainers who've had the honor of emceeing the prestigious event more than three times. But enough about the hosts and the awards, let's talk watches! From Robert Downey Jr.'s classic JLC Reverso to Michelle Yeoh's exquisite Richard Mille and Roger Federer's sporty Rolex Daytona LeMans, the event was a treasure trove of luxurious timepieces.

He brought laughter and surprise to the Oscars, making a bold entrance by appearing naked on stage while presenting the award for Best Costume Design to "Poor Things."

Amid this unexpected moment, one detail that did not go unnoticed was John Cena's choice of timepiece. Despite his lack of attire, Cena sported a Rolex Explorer II reference 226570, featuring a striking white dial.

At the Oscars 2024, The Rock was seen wearing the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chrono GMT 103068. The watch comes with extra-thin mechanical manufacture chronograph and GMT movement.

The Jean Bugatti chronograph has a special way of showing time. It has two hands in the middle. When you press the start button, one hand begins moving from 0 to 10. When it gets to 10, it jumps back to 0 and starts over. At the same time, the other hand moves from 00 to 01. 

When this hand hits 59 seconds, it goes to 60 and then back to 00. If you reset the chronograph, the hands don't snap back to zero right away. They keep moving a bit until they reach their stopping point and then they jump back to zero. This unique movement is controlled by a special part inside called a column wheel with a horizontal clutch.

Former tennis player Roger Federer was seen flexing the new Rolex Daytona LeMans 126529LN in white gold, made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic race.

Gosling donned a custom Gucci suit, once more opting to go without a tie, paired with a flashy Tag Heuer Carrera Diamant d'Avant-Garde watch, fittingly adorned with a pink diamond crown. He also sported this eye-catching watch while performing "I'm Just Ken" during the ceremony.

It is not a suprise to me that he wore a TAG Heuer timepiece, because he wore three different TAG Heuer watches in the movie Barbie, and also wore a TAG Heuer watch when promoting the movie.

The 2023 Oscars winner Michelle Yeoh was shimmering one-shoulder gown from Balenciaga perfectly matches her diamond-set Richard Mille RM07-02.

Ke Huy Quan, another winner at the 2023 Oscars, was seen attending the event sporting a luxurious watch. In the photo, he is wearing the Cartier Santos-Dumont Skeleton WHSA0031.

Robert Downey Jr., who won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in "Oppenheimer," was spotted holding the trophy while wearing a Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph in rose gold.

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth attended the 2024 Oscars wearing a new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 26240BA in 18k yellow gold.
