Salt Bae With His Insane Patek Philippe Collection

Nusret Gökçe, also known as Salt Bae, is a Turkish butcher, chef, food entertainer, and restaurateur. In January 2017, his technique for salting meat went viral and thus made him an internet phenomenon. He is currently the owner of the upscale steakhouse chain Nusr-Et which is widely regarded as one of the best steak restaurants on the planet.

Even though he charges eye-watering prices for his fancy steaks, many celebrities or famous people like David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lionel Messi, Conor McGregor, DJ Khaled, etc., have dined in at his restaurants.

If you are following his Instagram account, you might have seen many of his videos preparing meat while wearing different Patek Philippe watches on his wrist. 

In this article, I have collected his Patek Philippe watches. Let's check them out!

Let's start off with the watch that I think might be the simplest of Patek Philippe in Salt Bae's collection. 

I'm talking about the yellow gold 32mm Patek Philippe Calatrava 3520.

To see a collector ground themselves with a more "accessible" reference is always appreciated. 

The hour and minute hands, as well as the hand-wound Calibre 177 movement, are featured. Furthermore, as seen here in the picture, the dial originally featured simple markers, but other iterations found Roman numerals and Arabic numerals as well.

Now, let's move on to his Patek Philippe Nautilus collection, and start with the rose gold Nautilus 5711/1R, which I think is the simplest Nautilus in his collection. 

It features a brown embossed dial that gradually darkens as it reaches the luminous batons, and the result is quite mesmerizing. Furthermore, it also has a date window at 3 o'clock.

Okay, recently, I have seen many athletes and celebrities, such as Robert Lewandowski, Luka Modric, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mark Wahlberg, Conor McGregor, etc., wear this timepiece -  the 40.5mmPatek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/1R-001 in rose gold.

The model features a striking black version of the family's signature horizontal embossing. The 18k rose gold bezel and the attached gold hour markers with luminescent coating create stunning color harmony. And the chronograph function sits comfortably at 6 o'clock.

Current market price: ~$250,000.

This picture is from the recent major event World Cup 2022 in Doha, Qatar. After the Argentina football team was named the World Cup winner, Salt Bae somehow went onto the pitch and annoyed some of the players like Messi. Also, somehow, he comfortably touched and kissed the trophy. If I'm not mistaken, only limited people are allowed to touch the trophy. So, how was that even possible?

Shocking the world by holding and even kissing the World Cup Trophy 2022, he was seen wearing a vintage Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800/03 in yellow gold. 

It features a diamond-set bezel and a champagne dial with 11 diamond hour markers.

The 42mm Patek Philippe Nautilus 5719/11G-010 in white gold is seen on his wrist. This is a really beautiful piece, in my opinion. 

The watch sports 255 brilliant-cut diamonds, baguette-cut diamonds and 32 baguette-cut blue sapphires around the bezel.

Move on to the vintage 38mm Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800/5 in yellow gold. It features a pavé diamond bezel surrounding an ruby hour markers diamond dial, and a yellow gold bracelet that has been semi-set with pavé diamonds. 

Market price: ~$200,000.

Next is a Patek Philippe Nautilus 3700/J3 in yellow gold seen on his wrist. The bezel of the watch is decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds.

Retail price: $150,000.

The yellow gold Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800/108 with a beautifully diamond-set bezel, dial and bracelet is seen on his wrist. 

Bestowed with highly appealing baguette-cut sapphire hour markers at 12, 6, and 9 o'clock, of the highest quality, the timepiece is set with approximately 220 diamonds weighing a total of 7.00 carats.

Available from 1981 to 2006, the Nautilus reference 3800 was crafted with a case measuring 37 mm and featured a sweep centre seconds hand and date. The same watch has been sold at ‘Important Watches’ auction of Christie’s back in 2017, when the Nautilus hype was just at the beginning.

This one is the most expensive Patek Philippe watch in his collection so far. 

On his wrist, we can see an 18k white gold Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/1400G.

With diamonds all over it, this Patek Philippe Nautilus is one of the world's nicest and most premium-looking timepieces. Being a Nautilus, it flaunts the iconic design but is coated with diamonds on its white gold case. 

Enhancing the look and feel further, the bracelet is also made out of 18k white gold and iced out with high-grade diamonds. The chronograph watch features a total of 893 round diamonds and 182 baguette diamonds.

Featuring a 40.5mm Black Dial, this Nautilus comes with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The timepiece boasts a water resistance rating of up to 120 meters. It is a special and rare watch that is a must-have if you are a watch aficionado.

Retail price: $1,200,000.

The picture was taken last summer in 2022 when the big boss of Patek Philippe Thierry Stern, was on vacation and met Salt Bae in Mykonos. From the picture, we can assume they both know each other very well. So, no wonder, huh?

In the pictures, both of them wear two different Patek Philippe watches. Thierry Stern wears the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time 5164A in stainless steel. On the black dial, we can see the second time zone and a date display. It retails for $40,000.

On Salt Bae's writs, we can see a rare vintage white gold Patek Philippe Nautilus ref 3800/108 with a fully diamond set on the case, bracelet, and dial. In addition, three emerald hour markers are sitting at 6,9 and 12 o’clock. It is a worldwide Limited Edition of only 5 pieces.
