The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5976/1G 40th Anniversary was released at Baselworld 2016. 

At first glance, one could easily mistake this timepiece for a special edition of the ref. 5980, as they share a similar dial layout and are both driven by the caliber CH 28-520 C. This automatic flyback chronograph movement is equipped with a column wheel, vertical clutch, and a date function.

However, this watch is distinct in several ways. Its solid white gold case measures 44mm across the dial aperture, extending to an impressive 49.25mm when considering the case's oblong sides. 

With a thickness of 12.16mm, it is suitable for its size; interestingly, the smaller 5980 shares the same thickness, which implies this model might feel slimmer due to its larger diameter. The solid white gold bracelet adds significant heft to this already substantial timepiece.

The 5976/1G is a limited edition timepiece, with only 1,300 pieces available, retailing at $96,390. It comes encased in a vintage-inspired cork box, reminiscent of the original 1976 Nautilus packaging.

Last but not least, he was also seen wearing the very rare platinum Patek Philippe reference 5711/111P-001, limited only to 10 pieces worldwide.
