The Rolex Daytona is an iconic timepiece that has captivated the hearts of watch enthusiasts for decades. Among its many different iterations, the Rolex Daytona 116509 with a bright blue dial stands out as a unique and highly sought-after model. Discontinued from the production line, this watch remains a coveted piece for collectors and admirers alike.

Looking at this model reminds me of a picture of a Hollywood actor with an insane watch game, Mark Wahlberg.

In a surprising twist this year, we're parting ways with the Milgauss, Rolex's unique anti-magnetic masterpiece tailored for the scientific community. Not only was it a standout among Rolex sports models due to its wild appearance, but it also boasted an impressive track record as one of the longest-running modern references since 2007. Yet, just like that, it has disappeared – snap – scrubbed from the Rolex website.

So, adieu, orange lightning bold second hand!

Discontinued Rolex Models in 2023 - Rolex Cellini Moonphase 50535

The Rolex Cellini Moonphase, a sophisticated and elegant timepiece, was a remarkable addition to the Cellini collection. Known for its classic dress watches, the collection exudes timeless elegance and impeccable craftsmanship. However, the Cellini Moonphase was discontinued, making it even more sought-after among collectors.

The distinct moon phase complication set the Cellini Moonphase apart from other models. The beautiful lunar phase display, 18-karat Everose gold case, and alligator leather strap added to its refinement and sophistication.

I think, the Rolex Cellini line was discontinued to make way for the new Rolex 1908. As we await its impact on the dress watches lineup, the allure of the discontinued Cellini Moonphase continues to grow.

Bye-bye, Daytona with a meteorite dial. Yes, these models are part of discontinued Rolex models in 2023.

Among its various models, the Rolex Daytona has captured the imagination of watch enthusiasts and collectors for decades. One particularly alluring feature of certain Daytona models is the meteorite dial, which has since been discontinued, adding to their rarity and desirability.

Meteorite dials are a unique offering from Rolex, crafted from the remnants of disintegrated asteroids. Through a complex procedure, the asteroid core is gradually cooled, resulting in the formation of a metallic pattern on the final dials. However, the meteorite dial has been discontinued for the Cosmograph Daytona models. For those captivated by this extraordinary dial, it can still be found on the Day-Date 40 and the GMT-Master II models.

The six meteorite dial Daytonas that have been discontinued are (from upper left to bottom right): 116505, 116508, 116509, 116515LN, 116518LN, and 116519LN.
