Exactly two years to the day after OMEGA and Swatch first collaborated, they're back to honor another grand mission with the iconic Bioceramic MoonSwatch collection. Today, 26 March 2024, they unveiled the much-anticipated MoonSwatch Snoopy, continuing the excitement seen with previous MoonSwatches and the Swatch x Blancpain released in 2023.
The buzz around the MoonSwatch Snoopy was palpable, fueled by Swatch's clever hints over the past few months about a Snoopy-themed watch. True to their word, Swatch delivered this new masterpiece right on schedule.
This latest MoonSwatch iteration celebrates the full moon with its pristine all-white design, distinguishing itself as a special non-limited edition. However, if you're looking to get your hands on one, you'll need to visit a store in person—this unique piece won't be available online. Also, only one watch per customer will be made available.
The price for this MoonSwatch Snoopy Mission to the Moon Phase is set at $310.
MoonSwatch Snoopy Mission to the Moon Phase
This MoonSwatch Snoopy Mission to the Moon Phase is designed in pure white, reflecting the beauty of a full moon. It features a Bioceramic case, crown, and push buttons, along with a comfortable VELCRO© strap.Â
The watch's chronograph seconds hand, subdials, and tachymeter scale on the glass ring are in sharp contrast with their black color against the white background.
At the heart of the watch is a special moon phase function, showcasing Snoopy, the beloved NASA mascot, lounging on the moon. This playful detail is visible in the moon phase disc at 2 o'clock, which rotates.Â
Under UV light, a secret quote from the Snoopy series is revealed, adding a touch of mystery and fun amidst crescent moons and stars.
The watch is marked with OMEGA X Swatch branding, the famous Speedmaster, and MoonSwatch logos, ensuring its authenticity and connection to these iconic brands. It also features a domed bio-based glass with an etched "S" for Swatch, a refined circle pattern, and glowing Super-LumiNova® on the hands and markers for visibility in the dark, making it not just a watch but a piece of art that tells time.

Snoopy in Space: Celebrating NASA's Beloved Mascot with the MoonSwatch Tribute
This special MoonSwatch Snoopy Mission to the Moon Phase edition nods to the Omega Speedmaster Professional Silver Snoopy Award editions, celebrating Snoopy's long-standing role as NASA's beloved mascot since 1968. This famous beagle even had the Lunar Module of Apollo 10 named after him. Omega's Speedmaster played a pivotal role in the safe return of the Apollo 13 crew, earning the brand NASA's esteemed Silver Snoopy Award in 1970. This accolade is the highest honor NASA bestows for exceptional contributions to human flight safety and mission success.
For over half a century, Snoopy has been an iconic figure at NASA, symbolizing the Silver Snoopy Award's significance. This award is a mark of excellence in the aerospace industry, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the safety and success of human spaceflight missions. Omega's receipt of this award underscores its crucial role in space exploration history, especially during the critical Apollo 13 mission.
In this playful MoonSwatch tribute, Snoopy is depicted catching some rest on the watch's moon phase dial, embodying the spirit of exploration and the enduring partnership between Omega, Swatch, and NASA's space missions.
Genuine Watch Collectors or Flippers?
In the past Swatch-Omega and Swatch-Blancpain collaborations, we witnessed the excitement and hype of people eager to purchase the watch. Enthusiasts were prepared to line up in front of Swatch boutiques from the night before to ensure they were first in line and wouldn't miss out. In Taiwan, for instance, the release of the first MoonSwatch was met with such fervor that it resembled scenes from a zombie movie.
This time, it's no different. Hours before the launch, people are already queuing up worldwide, from Hong Kong and Singapore to Melbourne, Brussels, Miami, and Turin. I'll update this post with pictures of the situation during the launch if I find more.
Now, my question is: Are these individuals true watch lovers or merely flippers?
