Rolex Sprite – Which Celebrities Have the Watch?

Rolex Sprite – Which Celebrities Have the Watch?

comments

Rolex Sprite – Featuring a cerachrom bezel insert that combines green and black, which was never done before, the new Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 126720VTNR is officially the first left-handed Rolex ever made with a crown position at 9 instead of 3 o’clock. The model has been nicknamed “Sprite” by the watch community of the previous “Pepsi,” “Coke,” and “Rootbeer” bezel color combinations.

With the new color combination and eye-catching design, the Rolex Sprite surely brings fresh energy to one of the world’s most famous watch brands. The Sprite’s retail price is $11,050 and it currently sells on the grey market for around $60,000.

Buy Rolex Sprite – How to? As mentioned, you could get the watch from a Rolex Authorized Dealer for only $11,050, but it doesn’t mean you could just walk into any AD and buy it. At least not for us mere mortals.

In the past few years, getting your hands on a newly released Rolex has been increasingly hard! Unless, of course, you play for a big sports club or have a huge online following. So what’s the secret to buying a new Rolex Sprite at your local Authorised Dealer? Be famous, it appears. Such a bitter truth!

So, to prove my argument, let’s have a look at the celebrities who have been spotted wearing the lefty Rolex Sprite so far.

On 10th May 2022, the British footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for West Ham United and the England national team Declan Rice was crowned the Hammer of the Year 2021/2022 for his outstanding season from the England international.

When receiving the award for the second time, the 23-year-old footballer was seen wearing the “lefty” Rolex Sprite when accepting the award.

AC Milan celebrated their 19th championship with a victory parade of the “Scudetto” Championship in an open-top bus through the streets of Milan on 23 May 2022. The fun parade started at 6 pm where the team greeted their fans at the Casa Milan headquarters, then left with a bus through the city of Milan until Piazza Duomo.

Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined his team for the celebration and was spotted wearing the lefty Rolex Sprite.

Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the 2022 UEFA Champions League Final that was held at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France. One day later, they celebrated their win with an open-top bus parade in Madrid, Spain, and Karim Benzema was seen joining the celebration with the Rolex Sprite on his wrist.

The Rolex Sprite looks fit on the wrist of the 2021/2022 Champions League Top Scorer with 15 goals, don’t you think?

Rolex Sprite Watch on Neymar’s Wrist

Neymar of Paris Saint-Germain was also seen on social media during his vacay in Dubai wearing the new Rolex GMT-Master II 126720VTNR or Rolex Sprite on an oyster bracelet. What makes him different than the other wearers is he wears the lefty watch on his right wrist, where the watch is meant to be worn. It is hard to say if he was left-handed because he was also seen wearing other watches on his left wrist several times.

A 22-year-old English football player for Chelsea, Reece James, is another footballer that was seen wearing the new Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Sprite’ on a jubilee bracelet. Are you thinking what I’m thinking now? Yeah, he is still pretty young, but we can see a newly released Rolex on his wrist. The only reason I can think of is that he has gained popularity – as simple as that. Previously, after winning the Super League with Chelsea, the young Brit was spotted wearing the $265,000 Richard Mille RM 35-03 with a new signature butterfly rotor.

GMT Rolex Sprite on Roger Federer’s Wrist

Now, another athlete with the new Rolex Sprite. But this time, not a footballer. The Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer was spotted wearing the watch on a jubilee bracelet on his left wrist when he was watching the F1 Grand Prix Barcelona on 22nd May 2022.

No wonder he has got his hands on this new timepiece because Federer is a living tennis legend! He is one of the very famous humans in the world. His incredible skills dominated the sport in the early 21st century. He became the first player to win 20 Grand Slam men’s singles titles and set a record by winning eight f-in Wimbledon titles! It makes sense that he got his hands on the timepiece. Also, that is most likely why Rolex chose him to be their ambassador.

Recently, Federer attended the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the tournaments at the All England Club. He was spotted wearing the brand-new-off-catalog Rolex Daytona ‘Orange’ in yellow gold.

It was unsurprising to see that the Crown Prince of Johor also has the rolex Sprite.

The Tunku Mahkota or Crown Prince of Johor, heir apparent and first in line of succession to the throne of Johor. He is the eldest son of the current Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail and his consort Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah.

The Crown Prince is known as a very passionate watch lover among the watch community, and his collection is insane! Probably, he has all kind of watches in his collection, like from MoonSwatch, Rolex, Patek Philippe, and also customized watches such as those from Artisans de Geneve.

Recently, at the end of February 2023, the football legend was spotted wearing the Rolex Sprite on a jubilee bracelet.

On the football pitch, David Beckham was recognized for his finesse. It was there that he really left his imprint. But luxury watch experts also appreciate his taste as a serious watch collector and his collection of superb watches, just like other footballers like Robert LewandowskiLuka ModricZlatan IbrahimovicNeymar Jr, etc. The well-known footballer has worn a variety of coveted timepieces, including Breitling and Rolex.
