Tunku Ismail Idris is the Tunku Mahkota or Crown Prince of Johor, heir apparent and first in line of succession to the throne of Johor. Just so you know, Johor is a state in southern Malaysia linked to Singapore by causeways.

He is the eldest son of the current Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail and his consort Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah.

Among the watch community, the Crown Prince is known as a very passionate watch lover, and his collection is just insane! Probably, he has all kind of watches in his collection, like from MoonSwatch, Rolex, Patek Philippe, and also customized watches such as those from Artisans de Geneve.

Introduced at the 2004 Basel Fair, the ref. 116598SACO is without a doubt the most unconventional watch that conservative Genevan watchmaker has ever released. Nicknamed the ‘Leopard’, this yellow gold Daytona features an exquisite yellow gold bezel set with 36 cognac colored sapphires. The lacquered dial, meanwhile, features an extravagant leopard print together with eight diamond set hour markers with applied yellow gold Arabic minute markers at the 3,6, and 9 o'clock. 

Other celebrities spotted wearing this beauty are DJ Khaled and Nicolas Cage. 

Featuring a cerachrom bezel insert that combines green and black, which was never done before, the new Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 126720VTNR is officially the first left-handed Rolex ever made with a crown position at 9 instead of 3 o’clock. The model has been nicknamed “Sprite” by the watch community of the previous “Pepsi,” “Coke,” and “Rootbeer” bezel color combinations. 

With the new color combination and eye-catching design, the Rolex Sprite surely brings fresh energy to one of the world’s most famous watch brands. The Sprite’s retail price is $11,050 and it currently sells on the grey market for around $60,000.

The Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167R features a smaller case than the 5168G (white gold). The 40mm case catches people's attention thanks to its rose gold construction and chocolate brown dial and matching rubber strap.

Actor Tom Holland and Sylvester Stallone also been spotted wearing this watch.

Surprisingly, in April 2022, the crown Prince of Johor, HRH Major General Tunku Ismail ibnu Sultan Ibrahim @hrhcrownprinceofjohor, was spotted on his Instagram story wearing the  MoonSwatch 'Mission to Uranus.'

As quoted from Swatch: On this Mission watch, airy pastel blue meets a bright white VELCRO© strap. The chronograph seconds hand, counter hands and tachymeter scale are in white. All dials bear the OMEGA X SWATCH branding, as well as the iconic Speedmaster logo and the new MoonSwatch logo.

Next is the Rolex Daytona with a black dial, or I call it 'Blacktona.'

This model features a black, diamond-set dial with snailed counters, 18 ct gold applique hour markers, hands with a Chromalight display, and a highly-legible luminescent material. 

Current market price (Feb 2023): ~$30,000.

This is the most exclusive, expensive, and extremely Rolex watch ever made. The $485,350 GMT Master II is made of some of the finest materials, including 18k white gold and almost 30 Carats of brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds that cover nearly every inch of the watch. 

The dial of the Rolex GMT Master Ice is one of its most striking features 🤩, with waves of small diamonds flowing on the dial face. Luminous hour markers paired with hands that are lined in black improve legibility.

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo also owns this watch in his collection. 

Next in the watch Collection of The Crown Prince of Johor is the Rolex Daytona in rose gold with a meteorite and black dial and an oysterflex bracelet. It features a black cerachrom bezel with tachymetric scale.

This chronograph was designed to be the ultimate timing tool for endurance racing drivers. More than 50 years after its creation, the Cosmograph Daytona remains in a class of its own among sport chronographs and continues to transcend time.

Current market price in feb 2023 is around $45,000.

Considering one of the most colourful, funnest, and playful modern watches, the Rolex Daytona Rainbow comes in three different models: rose gold (116595RBOW), yellow gold (116598RBOW), and white gold (116599RBOW). The yellow gold and white gold Daytonas were released in 2012 before the rose gold reference in 2018.

The rose gold is set with 47 sapphires: 36 baguette-cut sapphires decorate the bezel in Rainbow colours, and 11 additional colourful sapphires serving as the hour markers. In the yellow gold and white gold version, there are only 36 baguette-cut sapphires on the bezel and eight brilliant-cut diamonds serving as hour markers. 

In all models, the fun doesn't stop here because there are still 56 brilliant-cut diamonds sitting on the lugs and crown guards. I also should mention the crystallization on the sub-dials giving them a shimmering finish; thus, we can see the white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold crystals.

The watch is currently selling between $500,000 to $700,000 (or probably more) on the secondary market, depending on which model. The rose gold reference has the highest market price.

For him, one Daytona Rainbow is not enough. He also has the white gold version 116599RBOW. This watch can also be found in John Mayer and Ed Sheeran watch collection.-

In the picture, we can see the rare Rolex GMT-Master 2 ref. 116759SA. The 40mm white gold watch is set with factory brilliant-cut diamonds and baguette-cut blue sapphires, featuring a pavé diamond dial. 

On the secondary market, I saw the watch was sold between $130,000 to $180,000.

The watch in the picture also has been seen on so many famous people's wrist such as Conor McGregor, Robert Lewandowski, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, etc. 

I'm talking about the the rose gold Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/1R.
The model features a striking black version of the family's signature horizontal embossing. The 18k rose gold bezel and the attached gold hour markers with luminescent coating create stunning colour harmony.

Kinda similar to the John Mayer and Prince Joaan of Qatar watch collection, the Crown Prince of Johor also has the green dial Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-014. However, his watch is not with a Tiffany stamp. 

The special sunburst olive-green dial is horizontally embossed and features gold-applied hour markers with a luminescent coating. This timepiece has been introduced to celebrate this iconic reference in its last year of production, for the first time with a green dial 

Retail price: $34,893.

Market price: ~$500,000.

Like DJ Khaled, Tunku Ismail Idris also has the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980/1400R Special Edition Nautilus Chronograph with Baguette Diamonds. 

As a novelty watch, the Patek Philippe 5980/1400R is made with 18k rose gold on the bracelet with a factory baguette diamond bezel and a stunning black gradient on the dial. 

During the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium Opening Ceremony in early 2020, he was seen wearing the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5719/10G-010. Its dial is fully set with 255 diamonds (~1.36 ct) and 3 baguette diamond hour markers (~0.01 ct). 18K gold dial plate.
