Ed Sheeran Watch Collection Varies From MoonSwatch, Hublot to Audemars Piguet

Edward Christopher Sheeran, known professionally as Ed Sheeran, is one of a famous and talented songwriters and singers. Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he began writing songs around the age of eleven.

Many of his songs became the biggest hit, such as 'Shape of You,' 'Thinking Out Loud,' 'Perfect,' 'Bad Habits,' etc. 

Just like John Mayer, the English singer is also known as a passionate watch collector. His watch collection ranges from MoonSwatch, and Hublot to Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. In other words, his watch collection is simply stunning, which reminds me of Mark Wahlberg and Drake.

Let's start off with the $260 MoonSwatch 'Mission to the Moon.' We all know that it seems odd that he wore this plastic, internet-breaking watch because he is known to casually wear luxury watches from like Patek Philipp or Audemars Piguet or Richard Mille. 

When the MoonSwatch went on sale in March, it instantly went viral online. Swatch retailers around the world experienced long lines and swift stock sales. People waited in lines for hours only to get a chance to purchase the new MoonSwatch, and despite stores only being able to sell two watches per client, they sold out almost instantly.

Swatch claimed it was unable to satisfy demand. Insane!

MoonSwatches being sold on the grey market are fetching prices two or three times the suggested retail price. More insane!

Sheeran specifically picked the "Mission to the Moon" variation, which among the 11 variations most closely resembles the iconic Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Even the most serious and ardent collectors, like Sheeran, approve of the MoonSwatch, which is essentially a toy Speedmaster.

The Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic also owns a MoonSwatch. He chose the red and white 'Mission to Mars.'

Before jumping to luxury watches like Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, let's stop by Hublot. Like the footballer Kylian Mbappe, Sheeran has more than one Hublot watch, but I will only feature one of his lively Hublot watches.

In the picture, we can see a 44mm Hublot Big Bang Original Gold 301.PX.130.RX on his wrist. 

Retail price: $34,600.

Joining the list of celebrities with the fun and playful Rolex Daytona 'Rainbow', the singer owns the white gold one. It is the reference number 116599RBOW, just like his fellow singer John Mayer's watch.

Considering one of the most colourful, funnest, and playful modern watches, the Rolex Daytona Rainbow comes in three different models: rose gold (116595RBOW), yellow gold (116598RBOW), and white gold (116599RBOW). The yellow gold and white gold Daytonas were released in 2012 before the rose gold reference in 2018.

The rose gold is set with 47 sapphires: 36 baguette-cut sapphires decorate the bezel in Rainbow colours, and 11 additional colourful sapphires serving as the hour markers. In the yellow gold and white gold version, there are only 36 baguette-cut sapphires on the bezel and eight brilliant-cut diamonds serving as hour markers. 

In all models, the fun doesn't stop here because there are still 56 brilliant-cut diamonds sitting on the lugs and crown guards. I also should mention the crystallization on the sub-dials giving them a shimmering finish; thus, we can see the white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold crystals.

His next Rolex that is actually very rare and considered one of the most sought-after is the vintage Rolex Daytona 6239 with the 'Paul Newman DIal.' 

His model has a steel bezel and black dial, with the wording Daytona in red at 6 o'clock.

The Rolex Daytona Paul Newman 6239 is until now the second world's most expensive watch sold at auction. I'm talking about the version with white dial and black subdials. It was the original Paul Newman Rolex Oyster Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 6239, which Paul Newman himself wore religiously for years, was sold for a record price of $17.8 million at the prestigious New York auction house. 

Ed Sheeran is another celebrity spotted wearing the lefty Rolex Sprite that retails for $11,050. The watch which features a cerachrom bezel insert that combines green and black was introduced at the 2022 Watches and Wonders in Geneva, Switzerland. 

Current market price in March 2023 is around $25,000.

The English singer has been spotted wearing Richard Mille watches so he must have some in his collection. The first one that I want to feature is the Richard Mille RM26-02 Tourbillon Evil Eye. 

This watch is inspired by the “Eye of Sauron” from the movie trilogy Lord Of The Rings and is limited to 25 pieces world wide. 

Retail price: $600,000.

Like Prince Joaan of Qatar, the singer also owns the Richard Mille RM27-03 with red-yellow colors. 

Richard Mille RM 27-03, which is a continuation of ultra-light carbon fiber TPT (Thin Ply Technologies) watches made for tennis player Rafael Nadal. 

This model has, among others, a tourbillon and a shock resistance, which was tested with a 10,000G hammer pendulum – where G stands for gravitational force equivalent. 

Price: $725,000.

Let's move on to another brand: Patek Philippe. It seems he has the same taste like one of the world leaders, the King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa because they have the same watch: Patek Philippe Calatrave Pilot Travel Time 5524.

The rose gold Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time with a 42mm case and a brown sunburst dial, and completed with a brown leather strap. It features a second-time zone and a local-time date. 

Its market price i is ~$54,000.  

Another Patek Philippe in his collection is the stainless steel Nautilus 5711/1300A with a diamond-set bezel.

This model that was released in 2007 has the exact same identity of that of the old blue dial Nautilus, except this exact model comes in olive green dial and features also 32 baguette diamonds adorning the bezel.

Another watch that also can be found in Prince Joaan of Qatar watch collection.

Retail price: $ 94,620.

Market price: ~$1,400,000.

During his performance in London with the rapper Stormzy, Sheeran was spotted wearing the white ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar 26579CB. Sheeran's watch retails for $135,000.

While his partner on stage, Stormy, was seen flexing the $135,000 black ceramic Royal Oak Openworked Perpetual Calendar. 

Ed was one of the few celebrities was seen wearing the new stunning Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in blue ceramic 26579CE. Another celebrity who has this watch is the comedian Kevin Hart.

For the first time, the Royal Oak, and to be precise, the 41 mm Perpetual Calendar model, is entirely honed from blue ceramic, from the case to the bezel and the bracelet. The matching blue Grande Tapisserie dial and subdials further bestow the timepiece with an air of the starlit sky.

Officially this RO Blue Ceramic is “price upon request” but insiders suggest it retails for US$109,500 which is a lot of money. However, considering Kevin Hart has a net worth of around $450 million, it’s but a drop in the ocean for him.

Finally, finally, finally! Finally, my question is answered. I was wondering when I would see Ed Sheeran wear this hype watch - Patek Philippe Nautilus 'Tiffany' 5711/1A-018. One year (more or less) since its release in December 2021, we can now see this watch on the singer and also watch collector Ed Sheeran's wrist.

It was during his performance on stage during the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Microsoft Theater on 5 November  2022 in Los Angeles, California. 

Auction price 1: $6,500.000.
Auction price 2: $3,200,000.
Retail price: $52,500.

Well, by far, this is the most expensive watch in Ed Sheeran Watch Collection.

A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus 363.179 with a blue dial is what we see on his wrist. The 40.5mm stainless steel watch retails for $28,800.

During their performance for Heart and Armor Foundation benefit concert at The Wiltern in California in September 2023, singer John Mayer performed together with him. They both were seen rocking the Royal Oak Spiderman.

The new Spider-Man watch, a collaboration between the Swiss watch brand and Marvel, features a detailed 3D Spider-Man crafted from painted white gold within a 42mm elegant frame. Limited to just 250 pieces, mirroring their previous Black Panther edition, it's priced at around $215,000.

Another cheap and affordable timepiece in Ed Sheeran watch collection. In the picture, Ed Sheeran is wearing the newly released Swatch x Blancpain Scuba Fifty Fathoms ‘Atlantic Ocean’. He is the first celebrity to have been spotted wearing one of these $400 watches. 

In the picture, he wears his Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “The Mathematics Tour” Piece Unique in White Ceramic.

This is a second piece unique done by Audemars Piguet for Ed, as he wanted a special piece to wear during his incredible tour.

Each of the hands are a different color, representing each of his first six studio albums. The customization goes even further: the rotor is customized with the mathematical symbols representing Ed's albums.

Numbers on the dial are representing the birthdays of Sheeran's daughters.

The price is unknown since this is a piece unique.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked 26585CM is a limited edition collaboration with Houston-born rapper Travis Scott and his label Cactus Jack. This 41mm timepiece boasts white gold screws and a sapphire dial that beautifully showcases the openworked Calibre 5135, blending rhodium and pink gold tones.

What sets this watch apart are its unique calendar and week indicators, reflecting Travis Scott’s distinctive typography. The day subdial hand mirrors the brand’s logo, and the moon phase at six o’clock features Cactus Jack’s iconic smiley, which glows blue in the dark. Additionally, other calendar features emit a green glow at night, creating a one-of-a-kind luminous effect.
